To ensure your wedding dress fits perfectly, we have put together a simple guide on how to measure yourself correctly. Simply follow the steps below to determine your measurements correctly and secure your dream dress.

Instructions for correct measuring

For a precise fit, you'll need a soft tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is neither too loose nor too tight - it should be straight and comfortable against your body. If possible, have a second person help you measure for more accurate results.

1. Chest measurement (chest circumference)

  • Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Make sure the tape measure is horizontal and includes your back.

2. Waist measurement (waist circumference)

  • Measure the circumference of your natural waist, which is at the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 2-3 cm above your belly button.

3. Hip measurement (hip circumference)

  • Measure around the fullest part of your hips, about 20 cm below the waist.

4. Shoulder width (optional if your dress has sleeves)

  • Measure the distance from the tip of your shoulder to the tip of your shoulder on the back of your body.

5. Sleeve length (optional if your dress has sleeves)

  • Measure the length from the shoulder joint to the wrist (or desired sleeve end).

6. Height

  • Measure your height barefoot, from the soles of your feet to the highest point of your head.

7. Hollow to Hem (collarbone to floor)

Measure from the center of your collarbone (center below your neck) to the floor while wearing the shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day.

Additional tips for your custom-made product

  • Relaxed posture: Stand upright with your arms hanging loosely at your sides. A relaxed posture ensures more accurate readings.
  • Double measure: It can be helpful to double check your measurements a few times to make sure they are correct. Write down all measurements and make sure they match up exactly.
